Timbrebongie House Ltd.

The Problem

The Timbrebongie House Ltd Board faced the prospect of adapting to the new Aged Care Quality Standards and were concerned about the organisations capacity to meet the new compliance requirements. The Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care contracted Diamond Consultants to provide training and support to the Board, senior management, clinical and personal care staff to ensure that they met all requirements of the forthcoming quality audit.

Our Solution

Diamond worked with Timbrebongie over a 12-month period to review all systems and processes contributing to the provision of resident care including a complete overhaul of the organisations policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, clinical care guidelines and work instructions. Training was provided to the Board and the care management team on all aspects of the new quality and safety requirements. The contract included establishing a mentoring relationship with the CEO and Director of Care to provide ongoing advice and support for the duration of the contract. Two years later Diamond was again engaged at the request of Timbrebongie to assist in developing a new Strategic Plan, Workforce Plan and training program for the organisation

Impact

At a subsequent quality audit, Timbrebongie was found to have met all quality and safety compliance requirements as required by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. The organisation was complemented on the quality of care provided to residents.
